Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Empro Training Services (Pty) Ltd (Emprotrain) was formed in 2002 as a Training Services/Private Training Provider to assist in the critical skills development requirements for the Oil, Gas and Chemical Manufacturing Industry in South Africa.
With aging qualified trade artisans retiring from the industry, there is a shortage of skilled tradesmen (Mechanical Fitters, Pipefitters, Welders, Riggers, etc.), especially for work on Oil Refinery and other Chemical Plant Maintenance and Repair Turnarounds, Maintenance Contracts and large expansion or “green fields” projects.

Emprotrain has over 22 years of experience in safety awareness training and is the preferred training partner to the Cape Town Refinery as well as to other clients.
Over 17 000 Contractor Personnel have completed the Safety Awareness Courses.
We have trained learners who have completed learnerships, been trade tested and are being employed as Artisans, with some holding the position of Supervisors.
Through our Community Skills Programmes, over 330 unemployed youths were equipped with skills that enabled them to be eligible for employment on Projects and Turnarounds at the Cape Town Refinery as Semi-Skilled Assistants and Safety Watchers.
